"Sharing our stories with one another is how we uplift, inspire, and connect. Life is a chain of moments, with each choice we make guiding us on our unique journey - but we don’t travel alone" said Laumann. "The decisions of others can profoundly shift the course of our lives. IInflection Time explores these beautifully complex intersections that have the power to redirect us and spark personal growth."

About Silken Laumann
More than one of Canada’s most celebrated Olympians and a world-class rower, Silken Laumann is also a symbol of resilience and determination. Best known for her remarkable bronze medal win at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, just ten weeks after a devastating leg injury that nearly ended her career, Laumann’s story is one of extraordinary perseverance in the face of adversity. Born in Mississauga, Ont., Laumann began rowing at a young age and quickly rose to prominence in the sport. Her breakthrough came in 1984 when she earned a bronze medal at the Los Angeles Olympics in the double sculls event, alongside her sister. However, it was her awe-inspiring comeback in 1992 that cemented her status as a national icon and global symbol of human tenacity. Beyond her success in rowing, Laumann has made a significant impact off the water as a mental health advocate, author, and public speaker. After retiring from competitive sports, she dedicated herself to raising awareness about the importance of mental health, drawing from her own battles with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Her memoir, Unsinkable, candidly discusses her struggles and triumphs, offering inspiration to others facing their own challenges. In 2019, Laumann founded Unsinkable, a non-profit organization that uses storytelling to help people #BridgeTheGap between traditional mental health resources and innovative, psychosocial support models. The Unsinkable Storytelling, Community Champion, and Youth programs draw from diverse personal stories to help others discover they are not alone, and recovery is possible. www.silkenlaumann.com
